Land Rover has been building some of Britain’s most capable and best-loved vehicles since 1948, and in the decades since, the brand has carved out a place in the hearts of drivers across the world. This Land Rover arrived at Crystal Car Care in need of a thorough, professional clean — a task that we were more than ready to take on. Land Rovers, by their very nature, tend to accumulate more than their fair share of dirt and contamination, particularly around the lower body panels, wheel arches, underbody, and sills, where mud, road grime, and debris can pack in after even the most modest of drives. Our Premium Wash Package was the ideal solution, and we set about the job with the full attention and care that this iconic British machine deserved.

We began with an extensive pre-rinse, paying particular attention to the wheel arches, sills, and lower panels where contamination tends to accumulate most heavily. A thorough application of snowfoam was applied to the entire vehicle, allowing the foam to dwell and begin breaking down the layers of road dirt and grime before we touched the paintwork. On a vehicle like this, that pre-cleaning stage is especially important — the foam does the hard work of lifting the bulk of the soiling before any contact cleaning takes place, dramatically reducing the risk of scratches being introduced to the paint during washing.

Once the snowfoam had been rinsed away, we moved into the hand wash stage using the two-bucket method with a fresh load of pH-neutral shampoo and clean, soft wash mitts. Working from the top of the vehicle downwards, every panel was carefully and methodically cleaned — the roof, bonnet, tailgate, doors, and all body panels were given thorough individual attention before we moved down to the lower body, sills, and bumpers where the contamination was heaviest. The wheels were cleaned with dedicated brushes and wheel cleaner, cutting through the brake dust and road grime to restore them to a clean, presentable finish. All four wheel arches were power-rinsed and brushed out to remove any stubborn mud or debris, and the running boards and door step areas were cleaned and dressed.

With the wash complete, the car was rinsed thoroughly from top to bottom before our detailer carefully dried the entire vehicle using clean, soft microfibre drying towels — ensuring no water spots were left behind on the paintwork. All glass was cleaned inside and out with a specialist glass cleaner, and all exterior plastic and rubber trim was treated with a premium dressing to restore its deep, rich appearance and protect it from the elements. A final walk-around inspection confirmed the vehicle was in outstanding condition throughout.

The owner was thrilled with the result — a Land Rover looking genuinely impressive, clean, and ready for whatever came next, whether that was the school run, the motorway, or something altogether more adventurous.
