Since the partnership of Charles Rolls and Henry Royce produced their first car in 1904, Rolls-Royce has been synonymous with the absolute finest in craftsmanship, refinement, and prestige. Every Rolls-Royce that leaves the Goodwood factory in West Sussex is built by hand, with thousands of hours of skilled labour invested into every single detail — from the coach-painted body panels to the hand-stitched leather interior, the starlight headliner to the famous Spirit of Ecstasy mascot that graces the bonnet. Owning a Rolls-Royce is to own a piece of living automotive history, and the custodians of these magnificent cars understand, perhaps more than anyone, the importance of proper care and maintenance.

When this exceptional Rolls-Royce arrived at Crystal Car Care for our Premium Wash Package, we approached the work with the same level of reverence and precision that is invested in the car itself. A vehicle of this standing is not simply washed — it is treated with the care and delicacy that its extraordinary craftsmanship demands, and every product and technique we use is chosen with that responsibility in mind.

Our process began with a careful pre-rinse of the vehicle, removing any loose surface soiling from the coachwork, wheels, and lower panels. A pH-neutral snowfoam was then applied generously across the entire vehicle, including the iconic Pantheon grille, and left to dwell and safely encapsulate contamination. On a Rolls-Royce, the paintwork is not simply a colour — it is a deeply complex, multi-layered finish that has been applied with extraordinary precision at the factory, and it is essential that every cleaning product used is gentle enough to preserve its integrity. Our snowfoam was rinsed away carefully before the contact wash stage began.

The hand wash was carried out using the two-bucket method with premium pH-neutral shampoo and the softest microfibre wash mitts available, ensuring that absolutely zero marring was introduced to the immaculate paintwork. Our detailer worked with patience and precision across every panel, paying particular attention to the intricate details of the bodywork — the chrome brightwork, the coachlines, the door handles, and all of the beautiful finishing details that define a Rolls-Royce. The wheels, clad in their polished finish, were cleaned using specialist wheel brushes and gentle wheel cleaner to remove brake dust and restore their brilliant shine without risk of damage. Tyres were cleaned and dressed to perfection, and all wheel arches were carefully cleaned throughout.

The vehicle was then rinsed thoroughly and dried using premium plush microfibre drying towels, taking great care around all of the delicate trim and chrome details. All glass was polished with a specialist glass cleaner for a completely clear, streak-free finish, and all exterior rubber and plastic trim was dressed carefully to restore a factory appearance. A detailed inspection was carried out before the car was considered complete, ensuring that every surface met our standards.

The sight of a Rolls-Royce gleaming in the sunlight after a thorough, professional clean is genuinely one of the most rewarding things we encounter in this industry. The depth of that paintwork, the sparkle of the brightwork, the sheer presence of the car — it is, quite simply, breathtaking.
